The Focal Chorus IC 706 V ST in-ceiling stereo speaker is the perfect solution for filling smaller rooms and spaces with rich, beautiful music. It reproduces both channels of a stereo mix using a single in-ceiling design thanks to separate tweeters for each channel and a dual voice coil woofer. The IC 706 V ST is a great choice for listening to your tunes in the kitchen while preparing meals, or enjoying background music in the den while entertaining guests.
Advanced driver design for natural, high-definition sound
The IC 706 V ST boasts two of Focal's renowned 1" TNV aluminum/magnesium inverted dome tweeters. Inverting the dome optimizes the connection between the voice coil and the dome, maximizing efficiency and precision. Plus, the rotating tweeter design lets you direct the highs where you need them for better stereo imaging and more precise localization of sound.
The speakers' tight, responsive bass and dynamic midrange come courtesy of Focal's 6-1/2" Polyglass dual voice coil woofer. This driver is created by depositing a layer of hollow silica glass microbeads over a layer of cellulose pulp. This unique material combines the warm sound of cellulose fiber with the incredible strength of glass, for a stiff-yet-lightweight cone that responds rapidly with extremely low resonance. A butyl rubber surround helps stabilize cone movement and provides excellent long-term reliability. Tying the drivers together is Focal's OPC (Optimum Phase Crossover) crossover network for precise, natural, and stable imaging and soundstaging.
Built in-house for better quality and value
The drivers in every Chorus speaker are built in-house at their facilities in Saint-Etienne, France. Why is that important? Because it gives Focal complete control over every aspect of design, manufacture, and quality control — resulting a consistently superior, high-value product.
